J-tunes daily: ON/OFF - Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi

Song of the day
ON/OFF - Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi

Sung by Japanese twin brother duo ON/OFF, comprised of Naoya Sakamoto (vocals) and Kazuya Sakamoto (vocals), their second single titled Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi was used as the first opening theme song to the anime adaption of the popular Shōjo manga series, Vampire Knight. The duos third single Rinne Rondo was also used for the anime's second season titled, Vampire Knight (Guilty).

The duo debuted in 2007 releasing the single "Eien no Setsuna" "Eternal Moment". To date, they have released 5 albums and 6 singles, with the single Hajimaru no wa, Sayonara released in April 2011 currently standing as their most recent release.

The duos strong, expressive vocals combine perfectly, and are complimented by the powerful, varied instrumentation, resulting in a truly catchy and memorable song. Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi was, and still is one of my personal favourite theme songs to any anime, not to mention being a fantastic piece as a full song.
